A few weeks ago, per our lovely friend Sarah Hanson's recommendation, Ben and I saw The Help. I loved this book when I read it a year ago and was a little tentative to see the movie because I hate when movies mess up good books. But when Ben suggests going to see a movie like The Help, who am I to turn him down. We LOVED it. I thought they did a marvelous job with casting. Ben even fist-pumped during the gala scene. When we came home he expressed interest in learning how to bake a pie of his own. Again, when he shows interest in such domestic tendencies, who am I to waste time by asking questions. Here is the result of our first lesson: peach custard pie.
YUM! His goal is to be able to bake delicious pies on his own for Thanksgiving. Minnie, thanks for the inspiration and Sarah, thanks for the suggestion! We miss you!
