Christmas in New York

Kind of. We went on the Friday before so it's probably the closest we'll ever get to spending Christmas in New York. Ben hadn't really walked around the city before so we had an awesome, relaxed day of strolling around, eating delicious food and seeing cool stuff. Here are some of my favorites: (delicious bagels and coffee in Greenwich Village, Chelsea Market, relaxing on the High Line, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, FAO Schwartz, dinner at Sauce-yes that is cheese on the plate in front of Ben).

School's Out

Well, it's been a busy semester but I can happily report that both Ben and I have completed all of our coursework and are satisfied with the results. We'll spend the next week or so unwinding, working at our part-time jobs, having some fun, and preparing to go back to California for Christmas. We are really excited to meet our new niece, Claire. Interestingly, this will be our first Christmas spent in California since we got married 5 years ago.

We spent our second East Coast Thanksgiving down in DC with Pete and Kara again. We really love this tradition. Refreshing time spent with friends, delicious food, lots of relaxing, enjoying our nation's capital.

We arrived on Wednesday night to this delicious treat.

My new photographer didn't waste any time taking some pictures.

But I made sure to catch one of her.

Thanksgiving Day, 2012

Me and my pal.

BEAUTIFUL weather.

Our sweet friends.

Made me miss my long rides.

Happiness.

Quick snack at the only place open on Thanksgiving.

Amazing what wine and butter can do to a bird.

Cooking.

Sweet potato pie and a new version of our salted caramel apple pie with pecans.

Time to eat!

Just hanging out at a hip cafe.

Twin boots.

And this was one of about 12 attempts at a Christmas picture for my mom. Guess who wasn't cooperating.
